Harvest - Sunday, September 27

Picture

It is that time of year again! Right now, the harvest will be open to the public this coming
Sunday, September 27. Coffee and treats will be served between 0830 - 0900 hrs, we will pick from 0900 until noon and then enjoy a nice lunch. The afternoon picking session will finish no later than 1700 hrs.

Just a few pointers now and all should go well.

Bring some boots or water proof shoes for the morning session as the dew is quite heavy. Sunscreen, bug spray and a hat are a must. If you are allergic to wasps please bring your Epi Pen as they like the sweet grapes as much as we do. If you also have any food allergies, please let us know.

COVID restrictions will be in place. Hand sanitizers will be available throughout the winery and masks must be worn in the buildings or when 6 feet social distancing can't be maintained. We will provide clippers and gloves but you may still get grape juice on you so don't wear anything too fancy. Lunch and beverages for the day are on us but you may want to bring something special for the kids (if in attendance) in case they don't like our fare.

If you have any pets that you would like to bring with you, you are more than welcome. The only thing we ask is that you keep them on a leash at all times. We love our furry friends but also want to make sure everyone has a safe and happy day.

Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you.

From all of us at Smokie Ridge Vineyard.

We like wine. We like vineyards. Here are five near us (you)

Throughout the winter we'll be doing lot's of dormant pruning to ensure that we maximize our grape yields next year. We'll try to make sure that when the liquor store runs out we'll have plenty available in the store. Make sure you pay us a visit and stock up on our 2011 vintages.
